Inspired by the eternal allure of the admired No.5 perfume bottle, this work symbolises the way in which advertising has shackled society, and forces us to believe that luxury is our one true god. Fashion icon, Karl Lagerfeld is painted within the bottle design, symbolising fashion iconography as a modern replacement for traditional religious idols. Endless has used bright pink paint in order to capture the eye of the viewer, similarly to that of a billboard, or advertisement in a shop window and hand painted, bold lettering comments on typography and slogans used within the advertising world. Endless originally created this piece using a combination of free hand painting with acrylics and hand-cut stencils with spray paint.
